Ariana Grande: Excuse Me, I Love You (stylized in all lower case) is a concert film starring Ariana Grande. It was released on December 21, 2020, exclusively via Netflix.[1] The film follows Grande on her fourth headlining concert tour, the Sweetener World Tour.
The film is named after the lyrics from Grande's song "R.E.M.", from her fourth studio album Sweetener (2018).

Ariana Grande takes the stage in London for her Sweetener World Tour and shares a behind-the-scenes look at her life in rehearsal and on the road.[2]
Background[]
Rumors about a documentary film for Grande's Sweetener World Tour started when Industry Camera filmed Grande's show in Inglewood, California.[3] In August 2020, British tabloid newspaper The Sun reported that Netflix was in "£4m bidding war" with YouTube and other companies for the streaming rights of the film, with Netflix leading the charge. "Ariana’s team are negotiating a huge deal between a number of big hitters, with Netflix and YouTube both showing interest", a music insider told The Sun, "Netflix has put forward a starting offer of £4million to get the rights. The deal is being negotiated by Ari’s closest advisers, led by Scooter Braun."[4] After teasing photos on Instagram, Grande officially announced the release of the film on December 9, 2020 via her social media with a heartfelt message to her fans.

The official trailer was released on Thursday, December 10, 2020.[6] A week prior the film premiere, on December 14, Grande shared a calendar for the film, where she announces custom GIFs, a first look clip of the film, profile icon of Grande on Netflix, and an Instagram filter of the film.[7]
